The FlashCue app · For theatres and producers

Give your audiences more than a warning sign.

FlashCue tells audience members exactly when flashing light happens in your production, how long it lasts and how intense it is, then gives them a quiet heads-up in the theatre before each sequence.

What audience members get

Everything is specific to your production, so people can plan around the moments that matter to them and stay for the rest.

A full cue list

Every flashing, strobe or chasing effect, with when it happens, how long it lasts, its frequency, color and source.

A 30-second heads-up

A quiet countdown on screen before each sequence, so nobody is caught off guard.

A silent haptic buzz

The phone vibrates at the moment a sequence begins. No sound, no light from the screen.

A summary for every show

Sequence counts and total flashing time, so people can compare productions at a glance.

A seating map

Where in the house light exposure is strongest, to help with choosing seats.

Their own settings

Calm or urgent alert styles and a sensitivity setting, so each person decides what they need.

What your theatre gets

A clear answer when people ask

Box office and front-of-house staff can point audience members to one place for specific, accurate information about your production.

Your designer’s work, put to use

The timing and detail already in the lighting design reach the people who need it, in a standard format.

Materials for your access page and signage

A FlashCue listing to link from your website, plus ready-made templates for the box office, lobby and social media.

Feedback from your audiences

Audience members can tell us how the information worked for them, and we share what we hear with you.

How it works

The information already exists in your lighting designer’s cue stack. FlashCue turns it into something audience members can use.

Step 1

Your lighting team shares the cue data

Your lighting designer or stage management team logs each flashing effect using the FlashCue contributor workflow.

Step 2

FlashCue standardizes and reviews it

We format the information the same way as every other listing and check it with your team before anything is published.

Step 3

Your show goes live

The production appears in the FlashCue app and on flashcue.org, ready for audience members to look up before and during the performance.

Step 4

You tell your audiences

Link FlashCue from your access page and box office, and use the signage templates in the lobby.

Let’s talk about your production.

Tell us a little about your theatre and what’s coming up. We’ll set up a call to walk through what bringing FlashCue to your audiences would look like.
